Update as of December 18, 2023:

CONFIRMATION OF ADDRESS AND LIMITED EXTENSION OF CLAIMS PERIOD: Some correspondence sent to class members in 2022 was undeliverable and returned to the class action administrator. If BMO had e-mail addresses for these people, e-mails were sent by class counsel in July 2023 to those persons only to ask that they (i) confirm their correct mailing address so that a cheque can be mailed, if applicable, and (ii) to provide an extension of time to make an additional claim for claimable funds by no later than September 12, 2023, if you qualify. The deadline has now expired. We are no longer accepting claims.

STATUS OF CLAIMABLE CHEQUES: For those class members who submitted a valid claim for additional claimable funds by no later than April 11, 2022, the cheques were mailed on July 10, 2023. Please cash these cheques as soon as possible, as they will be stale-dated and cannot be deposited after January 3, 2024. For those class members who submitted a valid claim for additional claimable funds by no later than September 12, 2023, the cheques were mailed on December 18, 2023. Please cash these cheques as soon as possible, as they will be stale-dated and cannot be deposited after June 12, 2024.

DO I QUALIFY?

If you are a current or former client of BMO as at May 27, 2018 whose Personal Information was impacted as a result of the Incident, you may be eligible for payment(s) from these Class Actions.

If you have been identified as a Class Member from Group 1, Group 2 or Group 4, you will automatically receive (or have already received) a cheque representing an amount for time spent addressing issues arising from the data incident. If you spent additional time, you may qualify for an additional payment by submitting a claim.

If you have been identified as a Class Member from Group 3 AND spent time addressing issues arising from the Incident, the only way to receive compensation is by submitting a claim.

If you are unable to submit an electronic claim please call the Claims Adminstrator, toll free, at 1 (833) 683-5861, or email info@BMOSettlement.ca.
